“Since I had to wear matching footie pajamas on Christmas morning, you’re going to wear a couples costume on Halloween next year.”

“I’m jealous that you get to lay in bed all day while I have to go downstairs and work.” I glanced over at the bed as I buttoned my pants and watched Kyla stretch her arms above her head, her back arching up and her bare breasts moving as her whole body shivered. We’d just finished showering together and she’d decided to nap off her orgasm high while I went down to work. “If I didn’t need to get shit ready for the New Years Eve crowd, I’d take the day off and lay around with you.”

“I’m going to be taking down all the Christmas decorations. With the girls out of town and you downstairs, I’m likely to just turn the music up and dance around naked while I do it.”

“Don’t tease me. It’s cruel,” I told her as I put a knee up on the bed and crawled up over her body. “Now I’m going to have to haul ass upstairs between deliveries to see if you’re naked.”

“How about I make sure I’m naked and you come up and have a quickie with me between each delivery?”

“If we did that, then neither of us would get anything done today. I’ve got about eight deliveries scheduled.”

“That might be a little too many quickies in one day.”

“I’m willing to try it if you are,” I told her as I leaned down and nipped at her collarbone with my lips. “Maybe after every other delivery I come up and bend you over the nearest piece of furniture. What do you think of that?”

“Or you could go to work, I’ll work around here and bring lunch down later. When you’re done eating, we could christen your office.”

“You have the best ideas, sweetheart. Have you thought anymore about mine?” I heard Kyla sigh softly, so I pulled away from her neck and looked into her beautiful brown eyes. “Should I ask Thane for his blessing first? You’ve already got it from the girls.”

“That’s such a big step, Quinn,” Kyla whispered. “It’s only been two months.”

“In the old days, some people moved quickly like that. Let’s bring it back.”

“In the old days, their life expectancy was about 50, so they had to do things faster. We’re almost geriatric if you’re using that scale.”

“I caught a cougar and want to bring her home with me. You can’t fault a man for that, especially when the cougar is as hot as you.”

“It’s three years, Quinn. I’m three years older than you. That does not make me a cougar.”

“Three years and three months. I kind of like having a wild cougar in my bed.”

“You think this is going to make me want to move in with you?”

“No, I think you’re going to move in with me because you know deep down that you love me. You’ve been looking for a grand gesture to show me. Moving in would be grand.
